Sovrn vs. AdSense

Has anyone here looked at Sovrn as a possible alternative or supplement to AdSense?

Sovrn appears to be the latest incarnation of Lijit Networks and Federated Media. It offers some interesting tools via its Meridian platform, and it claims to have a "unique focus on mid-tail publishers" (including "up-and-coming sites"), but I'm wondering it has the potential to be a serious competitor to AdSense, especially outside the U.S.

As much as I dislike AdSense at times I simply don't have the time and inclination to understand all these other networks. According to Quantcast they're 4th globally and 3rd in the US, I've never heard of them but then again I'm not an advertising pro nor based in the US:

Pros of working with sovrn

I have greatly reduced the presence of AdSense on the main site with much higher CPMs of Sovrn

I serve close to 20 million ad impressions a month and depending on the floor price they can serve between 30 - 75% with the ability to passback the remaining.

My issue with Sovrn is that their ads are sometimes highly inappropriate. I was browsing my site one day, on my mobile device, and I was being sent to the App Store to download a shopping App. I didn't even click on anything! They have very high standards for approving publishers but their advertisers are somehow allow to embed all kinds of shady codes.

Sovrn just got on my bad side when I asked to escalate a ticket that was not being handled properly.

My rep included a not so nice note about me in the email as he escalated it. The party it was escalated to then emailed me leaving the not so nice note intact.

Anyway, take a look at Vertoz; I'm pretty happy with them.

I copied CEO Walter Knapp on it but have not informed them that they will be ditched. I may not ditch them at all. I am going to give then the chance to right the wrong. 1 bad employee should not tarnish the entire company, on the other hand failure to rectify it may cause me to quit being so nice.

Thanks for the reminder. I actually have two clients that might benefit from the "give it all to Sovrn" in return for ad i ncome. Something to research and present.
