AdSense basics question

Copy existing or create new code?

This question is coming from me, someone who was in from the start but missed a few years by "being dead".

Suppose I have an AdSense unit named 123ABC and it's the right type, color scheme, etc. for my needs.

I create a new page and want another ad unit just like 123ABC. Is it OK to simply copy and paste the ad code for use on the new page or should I return to AdSense and get "new" code, even though it's going to appear the same?

You can use the same code if you want. I don't, because I assign channels to all my ad units so I can tell which ones are doing well and which aren't. If I used the same code everywhere, then I won't know. But technically it's possible, yes.
