New day and lots of traffic, why isn't the money coming in?

Hey guys, I had a very lucrative day yesterday with nearly 1000 dollars in adsense earnings. It just became a new adsense day like 20 minutes ago and I'm still getting a lot of traffic, but for some reason my earnings for today is 0,00.

Does adsense take some time to register new money?

Thanks, I am a beginner

Adsense can sometimes take a while to update, sometimes hours but usually only minutes.

It seems unusual that someone new to adsense would suddenly make 1000 $ in a day unless it has just been added to a long established site so perhaps it is possible your account has been flagged for review, which could lead to temporary suspension of earnings.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld JayWalker

Many a time mine takes upwards of 12 hours to show, that's nothing new however, as Rasputin commented, you're new to AdSense and earned almost 1,000 Dollars, that's simply too incredible to believe unless you've found the one undiscovered niche!

Or is this a well-established site using AdSense for the first time?

Notwithstanding Jay Walker's remarkable figures for a 'beginner', I'm quite used to seeing nothing in Adsense reports 20 minutes into the new day. My sites get daily pageviews in five figures, yet my reports don't show clicks/pageviews for the first half hour or so.

Just wondering if this report is real, or Memorex? I do hope that the earnings reported are not pulled by by end of month when the checks come through. :)

If you're up in the wee hours of the morning counting your Adsense revenue every 20 minutes, you're going to go mad. If you legitimately made a 1000 dollars on your first (making an assumption here) day, congrats. It would probably mean that you first built a decent website, got decent traffic to it an then turned on the monetization engine. That would imply patience so I would recommend exercising that patience where watching your stats is concerned.
