Enhanced text ads: Choose whether or not you want to display text ads with performance-enhancing features such as product images, advertiser images, or clickable arrow icons, etc. This opt out does not currently apply to ads shown on mobile devices or tablets.

Anyone opting out of Enhanced text ads?

Last time I did this the ads looked very anemic making this not a good option. You are almost forced to use enhanced text because opting out the ads looked so sickly.

Wondering if anyone is doing this and how results are.

If there is that much change between body text and ads on site, you might look at the site itself. Perhaps it is already enhanced well beyond the text ad and NEEDS the enhanced ad.

Ultimate decision is based on performance, not appearance. Of either perform equally, no change needed. If enhanced performs better, no brainer.

No, I try not to fiddle with the knobs too much. Google has a lot more information on this stuff than I do.
