Low Adsense CRT - a signal of high quality / user experience?

Is Google going to give a ranking boost to low CRT websites?

I'm learning more about Adsense in relation to SEO.

Is a low CRT (click-through rate) a strong signal of high quality of a website? I think it could/should be because if users don't click on ads it means they are happy with the content/experience of the site they visit.

If that's the case, I wonder if Google keeps track of this important signal and would give an organic ranking boost to sites that publish Adsense with low CRT.

Low ctr could also indicate a lot of other problems. Poor ad relevance, slow loading, bad design, excessive seo...
The site content may not attract the kind of traffic that clicks on ads.
It's probably possible to lose some clicks to overdone content but if page ctr gets much below 3% for a while I'd be looking at other problems first.

Google's in it for the money. I really doubt they'd reward anyone for a low earning site.

If we assume that visiting a website is like going to a restaurant.. If the atmosphere and food is good, why would you want to leave the restaurant to go to another across the street?

If few people leave (ie. if CRT is low) then it is a positive signal as far as the quality and relevance is concerned.

Do you really want a site with a low CTR? Wouldn't you do better with a site with a healthy (not excessive) CTR?

Of course higher CTR is better, but I'm wondering if it doesn't negatively affect Google organic rankings...

I think there is general consensus that too many Adsense ads on a page or above the fold affects rankings. I don't think CTR matters.

Some of my sites have low CTR and some have higher. Doesn't mean they aren't quality sites, it means that some of my sites aren't targeting people who are looking to buy stuff. They get very high traffic, but the AdSense is just there to take advantage of the traffic numbers.

Higher CTR on niche sites that have ads that are very relevant to the target or demographic, and highest payouts for affiliate ads on those sites.

If you treat it as a one-size-fits-all, that's pretty much the only results you'll get. Even if you only have one site, often one page or section will have a higher CTR than another. It's not quality, it's user intent.
