In the AdSense control panel,
Under the "Allow and Block Ads" heading,
the 5th tab over is "Ad Serving",
which offers these three subheadings -

User-Based Ads
Interest-based ads - Checked.
Third party ads - - Checked.
Social ads - - - - Checked.

Text ads
Enhanced text ads - Checked(crossed-out) BLOCKED.

Display ads
Similar sized display ads - Blocked.
Enhanced display ads - Blocked.
Animated display ads - Blocked.
Expandable ads - - - - Blocked.
VPAID ads - - - - - - Blocked.

I have added the items that I have checked, and the items that I have blocked. I have done this based upon my observations regarding the ever-changing AdSense ad landscape.

Do you agree or disagree with my choices?
Please say why.
Thank you for your time and opinion.

Why am I doing this? In EVERY SINGLE CASE, whenever I take advice from AdSense, I lose money. Going with the program in every case does NOT necessarily mean that you will make more money.

In many places, AdSense says "...doing blah-blah MAY increase your revenue". In every case, it could just as well read "MAY NOT", and the statement would be just as accurate. EACH individual must determine the "truthiness" of AdSense declarations, as applied to themselves. Extreme diligence toward your website is no longer sufficient. It is now apparent to me that everything must be questioned, regarding your particular website.

Thanks, Ken. Just based upon your post count, relative to mine, I have blocked Enhanced text ads. I am guessing that you know far more than I do. And the fact that I recall some "funny business" with Enhanced text ads, once before. Good enough for me.

The similar sized ads thing I like because it allows a 300x250 to run in a 336x280 slot if the smaller ad is likely to earn more.

I block all third party ads as a default. They are just a back door onto a site for ads that Google itself would reject if they were submitted to AdWords.

Just based upon your post count, ... I am guessing that you know far more than I do.

Thanks, but uhhhhh ... I'm not so sure :)

I let everything run. I lose money when I start blocking things.

I block social ads because I don't want to promote Google+ on my sites and similar sized display ads because AdSense displays centered 728x90 ads in 970x90 units even if the units are left-aligned.
