New reporting functionality is being tested

What are they talking about?

I just got an email from the Google Adsense Publisher Panel that says that I get to have a first look into the "new AdSense reporting dashboard".

It also says: "Only half of our Publisher Panel members have been invited to use this new reporting dashboard" and "When you log in to your AdSense account, you will find the link to the dashboard on the homepage."

I don't see anything on the home page that is different from the normal. When I click on performance reports, I see a few "Beta" reports such "owned sites" and "ad sizes" that I have not used before.

Are those beta reports what they are talking about here, or is there some other change that I'm missing? Did anybody else get this email and spot the differences?

Same here. There's also a link in the email to a blog post that's dated November 2013 if memory serves my right. Wonder if this is a leftover from when they rolled out the last version.

I also received a similar message a few weeks ago. I had however already been using the new interface. I was able to start using it from a prompt I received within the "normal" interface.

Yea I got it. I expect it's the same thing we had before. I already told them my opinion of the new dashboard.

Not terribly impressed with the way that AdSense Publisher Panel panned out either.

I believe the email refers to the bottom-left corner link. I got the email also and it just referred to the home page.

I am seeing some minor layout changes now. Oh, and finalized earnings section is back. Big whoop. The changes might actually be automatic for those not using classic mode.

It looks like they sent the email out before actually launching the feature. Now I have it. Under the Scorecard there is a "View Dashboard ALPHA" link that opens [as-dashboard.appspot.com...] in a new window. To view the dashboard, I have to allow that app to access my AdSense data.

It certainly has some kinks right now. The graph on the first page shows six days instead of seven on it. Yesterday's data isn't showing up on it.

There are sections at the bottom for "Top countries", "Top channels", and "Top sites", but those boxes are all blank for me.

I like that the default view is a week over week comparison. I've been asking for that feature. The drop down menu also has a "last four weeks" with a comparison to the previous four weeks. Because my traffic is cyclical weekly, that is much more useful than a last 30 days view. If there were a way, I would make the "last four weeks" the default rather than "last 7 days".

The other option in the drop down is "last three months". I'm not sure how they are choosing the time period for this one. I get Dec 30th to Mar 26th. The previous period doesn't line up with it as far as weekends go. Making that period exactly 91 days (13 weeks or 3 months of 30.333 days) would seem to be an obvious improvement to me.

Yes now I see it, and there are some things I like, but it's all moot when AdSense doesn't remove the crap clicks from my reports - all the dashboard prettying in the world doesn't make up for that.

You mean the ones that they don't end up paying you for at the end of the month? I have been requesting that those are excluded from estimated earnings. Or at the very least that they have detailed accounting for it.

I also figured out that the "Top countries", "Top channels", and "Top sites" section was being blocked by Adblock Plus. Those sections fill in just fine when I disable Adblock. (Yes I make my living from internet advertising, and yes I block it all so I don't see it, even on my own site.)

I have it now as well. Thankfully it doesn't appear to be the default setting but rather an option when you log into AdSense. I'd like it a lot more if there were links to go to the specific Performance Report section (Platforms, Channels, Countries...)

It sounds to me like this is going to replace the front page (or most of the front page) when you log into Adsense rather than replacing the performance reports.

The only things that it doesn't have that I would want to keep from the current front page would be the "Today so far" and the finalized earnings section.

You know they will want to keep that scorecard, even though it is totally useless.

I'm having a hard time even logging in to see how bad I'm doing the past couple of days.

I keep getting the error page when I try to log in with the Mobile option. Then when I click "Try Classic," the Mobile option loads. (?!)
