Why did Google withdraw Adsense for Ajax - and is it being missed?

This is my first post, so I'm hoping I'm in the right forum for this.

Like many others before me I have built sites which are very reliant on dynamic content and I have started looking around again for a suitable advertising solution to work hand in glove with the content.

I know that a few years ago Google introduced a Adsense for AJAX, but this was subsequently withdrawn. I never looked into the service at the time and I just wondered if any webmasters on here know the story on why it was discontinued.

Hi Peter, welcome to WebmasterWorld.

I'm not to familiar with Adsense for Ajax, although most users probably prefered to create their own solutions as opposed to using code that was provided via Adsense.

Another issue may have been mobile. There are tools that can allow you to build native mobile apps using web technologies. Using Ajax ads within mobile apps may have caused display and tracking issues.
