AdSense Stats Stuck - Febuary 2014

Stats haven't budged again

Stats across the board haven't moved for me for hours now, despite real-time visitor numbers jumping around.

Today was looking like a positive day. My average CPC was actually back to something decent after being quite low since early January. Then around 6 pm stats stopped...red bar since then. Practically no movement for over 5 hours. My stats go flat almost every night it seems, not for lack of traffic though.

This is the first time I can ever remember a half a day of the red bar, then going to sleep and waking up to it again like it never went away. This is like red bar on steroids...or Google on saltpeter.

Red bar here too, and most often than not, it never recovers.

red bar almost 24h here, yesterday's earnings were terrible but they are still lowering them and removing clicks, this sucks

The red bar is now gone for me and nothing has updated, or G is saying I have all this traffic and 0 clicks. Yesterday was an all-time low, telling me that these stats haven't been updated either. Whatever is broken doesn't seem to be fixable at this point because this behavior has been a constant this month more than previous months. Just garbage!

I've made this connection before but think I'll mention it again because this is just too coincidental to not notice.

The PIP-squeaking has begun. Seems as G gets to the payment part of the month, Adsense reporting gets interrupted. I've noticed this on several occasions. Not saying it's the only reason for a disruption in reporting but when the PIPing is going on, it's often proceeded by, or coincides with delayed Adsense stats. I'm thinking the payment process is messing with G's ability to report or keep up with incoming earnings for a period of time. It may be as simple as locking one reporting system while finalizing a certain set of data and rolling it into the accounts payable system. There is a cutoff for payments and executing that cutoff seems to be messing with the "not-so-real-time" Adsense stats we all love to watch.

Hmm. Thought I checked the date on that but January looks so much like February to me these days, I missed that subtle point. I guess we'll find out if the payment theory holds water soon enough. Thought it was a bit early for PIPing. As Gilda Radner would occasionally say, "Nevermind." New theory please ;) Red bar is gone for the moment and as some predicted, zero recovery. It's like 18 hours never happened.
