Message Too Old, No Replies

Ads refuse to show up on my main page.

Nothing I do fixes it, but they show on other pages.

I put some Clickbank ads up, so maybe Google didn't like those?

Who knows. The main domain refuses to show ads. If I go to the main page html file address, it will show ads.

I get the feeling Google did something.

I removed all the newer clickbank ads so we'll see.

Anyone experience this?

Out of an odd sense of desperation, I switched ALL of my sites over from text to text/image early this morning...

80% drop in revenue.

I've done it once before with the same result. I don't know why I do it. Image ads are just awful in MOST cases.

Stick to text/image ads. Your ads will start showing again once Googlebot visits your site that is if you remove the correct Stop words. If after 2-3 days ads are still not showing then you did not remove the correct stop words. They can be innocent words like 'teen boy', 'murder', 'shirtless' depending on contexts.

Support can't help you because stop words are automatic. Also since your site is new, if you don't have a lot of content, that can be another reason for the ads not to display.

The reason you still see some ads is because theyre cached and you're seeing them in different urls. For instance, www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com without the www are totally different sites in Googlebots eyes. So you may see ads on www but not on your site without www and vice versa. Same goes with index.html.

Not true.

Stick to text/image ads.

Agreed. No two sites are the same, but chances are that your earnings will come back up if you stick to text/images.

The image only ads are showing 70% (coverage) of the time. I got a few clicks today.

Stop words are gone. I'll give it a few days.
