Policy Violations link from interface homepage

Had been looking at options for communicating with Google after reading another thread here and noticed that from the home page of the interface, there is a link entitled Policy Violations. I hadn't seen this before.

When I click on the link it says:
"You have no policy violations on record. Thank you!"

Does anyone now if this simply gives the same info that would normally be sent in an email?

I always wonder exactly what has been added when the red message comes up announcing that new changes are available (sometimes it takes weeks for me to figure out what's new). This appears to be one of them. I would think webmasters will find this more friendly than the past approach to policy violation notices but, it may also signal a crackdown in the works. More tools for notifying you of policy violations = more policy violation notices. That's my guess. Hang on!

I hadn't noticed that either but now that I check it I can finally see how they classified the issue that caused ads to be disabled from one of my sites earlier this year for a few days. I filed an appeal, didn't change a single thing on site, and ads were reinstated. My sites are always going to be subject to their "subjective" interpretation of providing value so for this reason I have diversified my advertising revenue.
