I started out using AdSense websearch but found that the click values were really low (maybe 10% of the value of a typical AdSense ad click).
Then I switched to Atomz as a search engine and put AdSense ads on the results page. However over time I found that Atomz wasn't keeping up with the site well and that searches didn't turn up optimim results.
I've now switched back to AdSense websearch and search results are much better - but it looks like the revenue per click is still really low.
Anyone have any bright ideas on how to best address this issue? Better search results which allow me to put AdSense on the results page.
I added some code to only display AdSense when there was more than 3 results found, and I haven't had a problem with this since. I do think that this is something that Google should have recognized from the beginning, but I guess the email I got was just an automated email.
