Does it mean anything?

Can you spot the differences?
I have BOLDED the changes.

OLD CODE -
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="" type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx";
/* 250x250, l-examplename */
google_ad_slot = "xxxxxxxxxx";
google_ad_width = 250;
google_ad_height = 250;
//--></SCRIPT> <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="" type="text/javascript" src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"></SCRIPT>

NEW CODE -
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="" type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx";
/* l-examplename */
google_ad_slot = "xxxxxxxxxx";
google_ad_width = 250;
google_ad_height = 250;
//--></SCRIPT> <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="" type="text/javascript" src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"></SCRIPT>

Are there any consequences to these changes?
They have removed the first size parameters, and they have changed the publisher number.
Thank you.

(They have also changed my preferred ad type from "text" to "text + rich media". I am going to go and try to change that back right now. Do we have a choice, or don't we?
Update - My preferences remain the same, but they changed it anyway. When making a new ad, they ignore my preference for "text only", and change the default to "text and rich media". I NEVER want any rich media. I hate it, and I will not torture others with it. In every instance they override me, the ad gets yanked ASAP.

No, I don't think it means anything. I don't know why they changed the code, but I didn't notice anything different on my end when they did. Maybe it works better with DFP or something.

The changes which you bolded have been on some accounts since "forever"..

As to the "prefs"..they never give up trying to "force things" do they..
