How could you not mention the biggest change of all? It lists a contact page! For Google!

No, for reals! ;)

It never used to be censored. Same with poppyc0ck, c0ckroach, f.eckless. This is since the takeover. Quick to update the censor list, but slow to update the TOS.

It's a good job I am not someone who is having trouble with Adsense and i've come here to ask for help, especialy if the page in question was about a group of young girls who are on a school trip from Sc*nthorpe travelling to the Austrian town of F*cking, stopping off a C*ckermouth on the way.

Also receives the email to review and accept the terms and conditions, but anyone compare the Adsense previous terms with new terms and conditions?

Still waiting for the update. UK.

If we terminate the Agreement due to your breach or due to invalid activity, we may withhold unpaid amounts or charge back your account.

When they say "charge back your account" are they referring to the bank account that payment was made to?

Not happy with sending my first born to Mountain View. Will mail support asking if second child is acceptable compromise.

I sniggered every time I drove through Upper Dicker and Lower Dicker. Then the wife would say "4" to indicate my mental age. :)

There's a strange clause in the Dutch translation they offered me:
at the end of article 10: [my rather literal translation back to English]:
If you [...] terminate the agreement, (i) you are not allowed to create a new Account and (ii) you cannot generate income with content in other Google products.

So don't cancel your account if you ever want to return - not even if you might want to return to anything they imagine in the future ...
And art. 14 makes art. 10 permanent - even after you cancel the agreement.

Why so harsh G ?

swa66, the UK version says... "If you breach the Agreement or Google suspends or terminates your Account, you (i) will not be allowed to create a new Account and (ii) may not be permitted to monetise content on other Google products."

Using "Google Translate" the Dutch version says... "Google may also terminate at any time and for any reason the agreement or the participation of a Property to suspend or discontinue the Services. If we terminate the Agreement due to a breach by you or due to invalid activity, we can not include amounts paid or perform a recovery on your account. If you breach this Agreement or Google suspends or terminates your Account, (i) do not create a new account, and (ii) you may possibly generate revenue with content in other Google products"

Now that's strange indeed the stuff I find now says the same (i.e. not you terminating it, but they for breach) - either I misread or either it changed from what I had to agree to, can't tell anymore...
I probably misread.

Glad it's sorted, swa66. :)

When I was reading the TOS, I had to Google "commingling" as it sounded like a sex act.

Just agreed..( It was all in legalistic French*..no option to read it in English, each country's TOS is slightly different, and has to be agreed to in the language of where you live ) I can see an awful lot of English speakers who live in non English speaking countries ( and thus can only get the TOS in the local language..which they may very well not be fluent in, or even able to read and understand at all.. examples here [google.com...] . ) panicking**..
The Terms and Conditions vary according to the country where your billing address is located. Please choose your billing country below to view the appropriate Terms and Conditions.

Would it be beyond the wit of Google to provide the translations of one's local TOS based upon one's browser language ? ..( Rhetorical question, to which the answer is, apparently ..yes it would ).

*Not a problem for me personally ..but ..see below..

**I know a great many English speakers living abroad in non English speaking countries , especially here in France , who barely read the local language, many are resident for years and still cannot read much more than the roadsigns..usually because when they arrive they are already retired, or nearing retirement age..and depend on local "translation for expats services", to interact with the local administration, tax authorities etc..it is "tax returns" time right now in France

I don't think it's Google as such that want this, it's their lawyers that need this. At cause are our politicians who create laws that force the use of certain languages (e.g. France ...) or have created too differing legislation and too many requirements on private contracts to allow all to have just on contract.
The world is not ready to have just one set of (liberal) laws globally. We're still stuck in thinking in terms of nations, regions, and even smaller to create as much rules as a politician can think (s)he will win more votes with at the next (local) election.
