Interest Based Ads (Targeting Type)

Is there any way to increase the number of interest based ads being served via AdSense? As a percentage, interest based ads have been declining for me the past 2 months for me which is not good news because for me they significantly outperform contextual and placement ads. CTR is exactly the same as contextual, but the CPC's are MUCH higher. Last year, interest based ads were about 25% of all clicks, but that % has been more like 10-15% the past 2 months. I'm trying to figure out why they would be down? I've moved more towards text based ads, perhaps interest based ads are more image/rich media heavy?

IBA followed me everywhere yesterday. Why? I Googled the day before:

"left-handed widgets+eBay"

I purchased my "left-handed widget" for $1.95 post paid. Then I'm pursued thereafter with IBA for "left-handed widgets" all day. Not only has my interest been satisfied, but by right clicking a few AdSense Ads and putting it into the browser?

I learn I could have purchased it, cheapest elsewhere, for $29.95 + $9.95 P/P.

CORRECTIONS: I paid $3.95 post paid and the cheapest was $49.95 +P/P. It was a mobile phone battery for my 5 year old phone. Yes! I'm a cheap dinosaur.

I use a product from a vendor, that makes me log in to their site every so often to collect the invoices from them I need for the accountant. Every time I do, I get followed by IBA for a week or so from that vendor -they seem to advertise a lot-.

I hate IBA as they follow you for *far* too long. Seriously: I'm single minded: if I search for something I go till I find what I need and want. Once done I'm not going back, so any and all IBA is coming too late.
