I started AdSense 2004.

My absolut records had been more than 10 times the earnings of my first month.

Since March 2011, less and less visitors from Google.

December 2011, I tried a complete redesign of the site.
First time, the redesign was good visible at Googla Analytics stats.

About 40% more page views per user, longer on the site,
the useability for cell phone users was so good improved,
they are now nearly the same as normal visitors.

But still declining

2 weeks ago, I discovered, that only my google plus pages are in the webmaster toole with me as author.

It turned out, that the method in the html head proposed before did not work.

So I made the author link in the content.
Now day for day, the number of pages registered with me as author increaded.

But the number of visitors from Google again decreased.

When it goes on like this, my earnings will be end of the year in the range of my first month 2004

We're becoming a not-so-exclusive club.

Then again there are others who report the opposite.

I can report the opposite for my informational (hobby) site, it's doing well.

My product related informational/affiliate mix site however, it's taken quite a thrashing of late.

Not new news... I am working with a publisher that used to pull in $1500-$2000 a month for years, now it's $250-$300. I think it's useless to even try to get the old numbers back. The days of 2005 are over. So many things effect this... but I think one of the biggest complaints is google's continual robotic algorithm changes... watch your rankings drop = watch your earnings drop. However, I am also sure that with more and more people on mobile devices, this affects it also. More and more people are just "blind" to ads. The CTR is not what it used to be.

Just what I find. Clicks and income seem to have bottomed out but the visitor count has doubled.

Tablets on my sites deliver 4X the CTR of desktop plus a higher EPC. Even mobiles are 2X however the EPC is about 58.6%.

I've been seeing a lot of non-targeted ads recently but my biggest fall has been Google's acrimonious divorce with an image gallery this past couple of years. Purely for views alone compared to 2-3 years ago that gallery now gets 10% on bad days and 20% on good days, even compared to August it's down 50%!

Google's fubard, period.
