Upcoming Maintenance 9/22/12

10 hours of maintenance?

In my Adsense account:

On 9/22/12, our engineers will be performing site maintenance from approximately 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM PDT.

Seems awfully long. Aren't these usually a couple of hours?

Yea but #1 we don't know if they actually did the one last Saturday and #2 it may be as much or more on the AdWords side as the AdSense, since they're both tied together.

Yea, but it was the first time in ... years. And remember in the old days, sometimes they'd announce it and for one reason or another it wouldn't happen. So we don't know if it did.

I can't even tell from their messages if the system will be down while they're working on it. Even if they don't tell us, they usually tell the AdWords advertisers if they won't have access to their accounts, and I haven't seen that yet.

I just got the notice in my Adwords account. No access during the maintenance.
