How do you block Google's Ads from showing in Adsense?

I'm being told they are showing up a lot on our health supplement site. I don't think our readers are interested in opening Google Adwords Accounts. They are often reading about weight loss at the time.

I sent out an email to my friends and family asking them to look at (and for heaven's sake not click!) the ads on the page and say what they saw advertised. More than half said an ad with a google logo showing e.g. Adwords.

I assume you can go to

Allow & block ads > advertiser's URLs and add google.com...

... and google.ca .co.uk .fr .au .etc etc etc

I tried that and it didn't work which is why I posted here. Looks like a takes a few hours to sink in as they don't seem to be showing now.

Go to the Ad review center > Shown ads, search for Google Adwords ads. Mouse over the ads, click the gear icon and select 'block this adwords account.' You have to do this for each Adwords ad in different language and domain, Google services have multiple regional Adwords accounts. And check back shown ads daily to 'catch' the rest of them.

BTW, Google uses domains like 'adwords.com' and 'ohiogetonline.com' to advertise Adwords, blocking google.com won't work for all of them.
