Hello, out of frustration I removed Adsense from my main website.
Last year Panda hit really hard and 1/3 of the traffic was gone... now Penguin ate another 1/3. What's next? Chicken? Cat? Gorilla? Ants?

I am trying this solution because I had 2 ad blocks at the center of the page and above the fold, and this seems to be one of the things that the Penguin update hates.
I did it yesterday and I suppose I'll have to wait for at least a couple of weeks to see if my website benefit from this change. In the meantime.. no adsense money.
Did this solution work for any of you?

Thanks

Not just Google, but other webmasters hate it too. And it also affects people wanting to link to you. So, it's lose-lose situation. Google should have done this years ago, not now, but at least it is a start.

No idea, as i've never made a MFA site, but I guess it could help.

Well, the fact that I was monetizing with Adsense doesn't mean that the website is Made For Adsense.
I should have explained that this is a totally white hat website. Around 1000 original articles, updated daily with fresh new and useful content. Never bought a single link.
Average visit duration is more than 2 minutes (some people stay for hours) , so I don't see how my visitors are not happy with the website...

You have been misinformed.

Go back and read the official Penguin announcement [googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com] and you'll see that Penguin is a webspam update.

Before you make any changes, inform yourself better about what is being targeted then make the appropriate changes.

Head over to the Google SEO forum and research what's being discussed about Penguin, but first read the official announcement. Once you have read up about the kinds of SEO being targeted by Penguin then go ahead and make the appropriate changes.

This forum is about the AdSense program itself, not about the Penguin Update. So I'm going to lock it and wish you the best of luck. ;)
