For one of my sites the eCPM has fallen by about 40% compared to the same period last year. This has never happened before for this site.

The page views and visitors are absolutely normal, it's just the eCPM which has plummeted.

Looking at the ads on the pages, and they all have ads on them, they are pathetic. Looking at them it is not surprising that the eCPM is falling.

I have several sites and two accounts. Only this one site is affected.

Of course, I have a conspiracy theory for this drop in eCPM - who doesn't! The site has been around for eight years, nothing has really changed in the last couple of years except for one recent change.

I created a F~~~book page about thwo months ago for the site and have heavily promoted it on the site. Could there be any connection between the eCPM fall and the new promotion?

Just flying a kite because you never know, other new F~~~book users might just have encountered the same.

Then either or both your CTR or EPC are down.

My personal experience = irrelevant ads when that happens.

For the record, the drop seemed to be connected with below par ads, presumably due to end of the financial year. Over the past week or so the eCPM has risen, not back to the previous level but nearly so.
