Finalized earnings how much did you get zapped. On top of the daily thrashing of earnings how much did you get zapped from last months estimated earnings to finalized earnings? For me its just under $25.00. About a half tank of gas.

I wish. That is about a tea-cup's worth in the UK.

Gas must be cheap where you live.

Costs me that much just to validate my credit card at the pump!

Clipped for about 0.377 % for March.
It has never been above 1% for me.

It is shocking to hear about the larger numbers being reported here.

Is it -
- Poor content,
- Specific content?
- Poor traffic, poor traffic sources? (Bolded for netmeg, post below)
- Poor ads? (bad targeting, crummy ads)
- Number of ads? (way too many, dilution)
- Type of ads? (image ads produce "phony" clicks)
- Bad luck? (could be, but that's not all of it)
- I'm just a good guy/gal? (I don't think so.)
- Advertisers who did not "pay up"?
- Enemies that click-bombed you?
- Arbitrary devaluation of clicks, due to flaky logic?
- Artificial intelligence run amok?
- The crunch time imperative? (Profits MUST continue upward, in spite of underlying conditions, such as saturation, growing ad blindness, etc.)

We really need to construct a theory about this, in order to give ourselves guidance. I don't think G is going to help us out on this one - could be too revealing.

There is no stopping us from speculating, about something that is SO important. 10%? 20%? EGADS!
The borg giveth, the borg taketh away.

I usually don't lose much; last month it was seventy cents. There was one time when they took out around a hundred bucks, but that was during one of my huge peak seasonal spikes; as a percentage it still wasn't very much. Kinda stung tho.

If they did start taking large chunks out, the first thing I'd look at would be the source of my traffic.

Who Knows? As long as I stay around 1% I'm not going to sweat it. Here's Google's Answer to why difference occurs for those that have never read it:

My account is set up in Euros, could it be the cause ?

CTR is low, 0.10%, its not that users are clicking on ads mistakenly all the time.

Traffic was 80%+ direct in March (finalized earnings down by 7%), and 80%+ Organic traffic in February (f.e. down by 10%).

In March some ad spaces were changed to show both text and image ads. All ad spaces were set up to image in Feb.
