Heeyz.
I was just thinking... Dollar is low Euro is high.
Google is getting more "dollars" in for european advertising. For american advertising nothing changed.

Did google either lower it's prices, increase it's payouts - thus making european visitors more profitable then american, or simply enjoyed making more profit.

a) Google will "take the money and run".

b) the click prices in US market are way higher than european market and the US (ecommerce) market is around four times bigger than "all (ecommerce) european markets ensemble". Most europeans don't use credit card in Internet.

c) the exchange ratio is now 1.33, in march 2004 it was 1.29. It's not a big difference.

Maybe, some european webmasters (like me) are just now searching new european advertisers who pay in euros because with the same traffic we earn less money every day. I'm not talking about filters, april/november cuts, smart prices nor other issues; I'm talking about CPM.

From my own point of view, for the spanish local maket, Adsense is dangerously bordering the red line of 1 euro PM in mainstream traffic. Most big advertisers are here behind the line; pay in euros and make 3, 6 or 12 months arrangements without the "dreaded email paranoia" or other Adsense issues. Of course, you will need some million impressions/month to be considered by them but... that's business.
