DMCA Through Google Adsense

One of my client has a website, on which Google Adsense disabled ad serving by citing reason for not enough original content in November last year.

Today, they received DMCA notice from someone through Google Adsense and the Adsense team has sent them an email that ad-serving has been disabled on the URL where the infringement has been reported.

I am wondering, if Google Adsense team doesn't know that they have disabled adserving on the whole site already in November 2011.

I'm not sure that AdSense would be delivering DMCA notices - are they sure it didn't come from Google Search? Serving ads and monitoring scrapers are handled in two entirely different divisions.

Those divisions don't speak to each other, nor do they always agree.

If something feels fishy contact Google directly. Don't hit reply on any official email, instead go and verify the official email address from Google's site and copy/paste it to a fresh email with your message. If you like you can copy/paste the email in question as well.

Better yet use the contact us feature right in your adsense dashboard. Also, it doesn't matter if you've been banned. Each instance is handled the same way, they won't skip informing you of a new issue just because of an old one.

the client replied to them and resolved the issue of DMCA.

Google Team was happy and told the client that Ads have been enabled.

But, ads didn't work, as the site was banned earlier.

It is strange that such a big company which is mainly based on technology, doesn't have a simple system in which a banned site is flagged so that they would know that they need not deal with site in issues like DMCA or other.
