Poorly targeted Adsense on inner posts?

I have a site that has a post stickied to the home page. The Adsense ads within it are perfectly targeted.

Of course, Google has chosen to rank the post rather than the home page. The problem is, on the individual post page, the Adsense ads aren't nearly as targeted.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I have done all of the usual -- section targeting, adding in more relevant keywords, etc. Nothing seems to be working. It wouldn't be a big deal if Google were ranking the home page, but it's not.

Thanks.

How do you know the home page is "perfectly" targeted? "Perfectly" targeted for which visitor?

Likewise, how do you know the ads on the individual post page is poorly targeted?

Sorry, bad choice of words. The site is about a specific education field. The homepage shows ads mainly related to that field. The individual post does not show ads related to the field, but ads for education in general.

The point I was trying to make with my questions was you don't know the ads your visitors are finding when they visit your site. You only know the ads YOU see when YOU visit your site. Visitors may be finding very different ads than you find.
