Hi

We are new to google adsense and have 70 pages dyanamic website. We would like to get answers of the queries below.

a. We have a leaderboard(728 X 90) adunit defined for our website. we want to place the adunit of this size on all the pages of the website. Should we create different ad units for different pages or should we can use the same ad unit for all pages ? Which will be a better option in generating more revenues through the Google adsense.

b. We have defined same leaderboard(728 X 90) adunit for 2 different pages of our website. Will these 2 Ad units displays the same ad on both the pages or different ads ?

c. In case we have same leaderboard ad unit displayed twice on the same page , will this display the same ads or different ads?

It will be great to get answers to above the three questions so that I can maximize the revenues. Thanks for the help.

a. Probably won't affect your revenue, but you might want to track which pages earn more with the ad unit, in which case you might want to give your pages different channels - which would require unique code for each page you're tracking.

b. They will display whatever the best paying ads that are available at the exact instant that a user hits that page. Sometimes they will be the same, sometimes they will be different. There's a lot that goes into the instantaneous decision of which ad to display.

c. If there are enough ads available you should hopefully get different in each ad unit, but sometimes they will be the same. Seems to be unavoidable. When I see it happen often enough, I take it as a sign that I need to remove one of the ad units.

just use the same ad code, and use Google Analytic. It will show you just how much each page is earn, and help you determine the highest earning page. Adsense will also show you the highest earning Ad sizes.

Try it out first, and learn my test, what work for one site doesn't work for another.
