Has anyone any experience of this?

I am considering asking adsense to hold my payments to every six months (the maximum I believe). This is so
I (in the UK) only have to cash one check and pay one commission.

I wondered what peoples thoughts are on this.

One issue for example, if Google cancel your account (fraudulent clicks or whatever) during this time do they honor the payments until the date or woudl I be risking the whole six months pay check?

Has any one held a payment check?

Unless you are a really big client I doubt Google will customize your payment schedule. Standardize and automate is their mantra.

I believe anyone can request a hold over on their payment...it's in the TOS....

Oops... you are totally right. There is a whole section on the subject here: [google.com...]

That's the main reason I would never do something like that. I believe that Google would probably keep all the money you have made over the period of six months. I was recently going to ask them to hold one of my checks for a while, because I was changing my address, but changed my mind for the exactly same reason.

But you can always as them.

I can tell from experience that when Google holds your payments on request, the magic words 'payment approved' do not show up in your account. So in case of problems, you don't have that piece of evidence...

I would be amazed if they paid you. It doesn't appear to matter when the invalid clicks happen you lose the lot.I would leave your payment monthly even considering the cheque charges.

My brother had a site which had adsense on it for 3 to 4 months. Although it was low traffic, low earnings he never received a cheque at all as during month 4 he got the invalid clicks e-mail. Strangely he got the invalid clicks e-mail becuase they suspected that I was guilty of invalid clicks and he was guilty by association. G basically got 4 months free advertising.

IMHO I would NEVER let G keep any money that they didn't need to. You never know if you will get it or not.
