Stats reporting oddity. any ideas?

Channel vs Ad Size stats.

OK, this has bugged me for a while now, so I'm finally getting around to posting about it.

I use the 300x250 ad size for many of my ad spots.

The channels for these ads show the right number of impressions, (several thousand impressions per day is close enough for this discussion).

But when I go to the "performance" page of the stats and click on "ad size" the 300x250 show almost NO impressions, usually less that 20 per day.

Any idea why that would be?

Anyone else see this kind of odd reporting?

Is the 300x250 the first ad on the page, or second?

Performance Reports are set to show Page Impressions by default and if there is more than one ad on the page, I believe that only the first one gets counted.

Try setting the Columns of the Ad Size reports to Ad Requests and see if it matches the channel report.
