Is anyone using targetable ad channels? Did they result in more revenue?

No, I haven't made any of my channels targetable. It would be difficult to tell if there were any improvement in revenue because ads can also be targeted at the site as a whole. Google Help on ad targeting: [google.com...]
Placement ads perform very poorly on my site and make up a very small portion of revenue so I don't think making channels targetable would help much.
