Changing unit channel broke my color choices

I have two channels, representing the same location but on different sites, that were somewhat annoying in that I picked very similar channel names for them. At a glance it's hard to tell which is which.

I did this in 2009.

This morning I changed the channel name of one of the units by simply editing the existing channel name, I didn't create a new channel. It's a link unit that had colored text with a black "google ads" on white background but since I changed the channel name it's showing black text with a blue background over the "google ads". It doesn't mesh.

The unit is located above a div which has a background image in it but it's not part of the div at all, it's not overlaping etc. I know it takes time to change but it's been 8 hours and it won't go away.

Was the old unit grandfathered and some new filter applied when the unit was updated? It doesn't make sense, nothing else changed, at all.

Update, problem resolved. A particular color combination is no longer allowed but was fine with the old code. I changed the text color slightly and the ads displayed properly. If I change it back to my desired color it reverts to the funky colors so a slightly different color choice will have to do.
