I'm tired, really tired getting their suggestions.

"At least 1302 of the pages on .... are running less than three ad units. Adding any of our top performing units (336x280, 300x250, 728x90 or 160x600) to prominent sections of your pages will substantially increase your ad impressions and overall revenue."

All I have to say is dumb, dumber, dumbest. They should really spam their own search engine with their ads and eat their own Panda food as reward.

Do I detect a touch of weariness? Wouldn't it be nice if there was a spam filter at GWT? :)

ESPECIALLY since they serve so many cr@ppy ads recently.

What? You want us to put up more of the same?
When your targeting gets better, perhaps we will want to put up more blocks.

The OLD ADSense was far better at appropriate ads, as evidenced by the higher CTR.

The PROOF of well-targeted ads is CTR. CTR has been dropping for months. Can AdSense not figure out why? Or maybe there is a plan of which we are not aware. It would be nice to be let in on the joke - the subtle reduction of our income, through poorly targeted ads. Could this be working for Google, but not for us?

Never has a more accurate statement been made within this forum.

Every now and then, the people working at Google come up with some great inventions. Then they stuff them up. [search. maps, Adsense etc etc]

Is that an exact quote? Adsense is now saying "will substantially increase" instead of "might" or "could"?

@farmboy, If G really wants publishers to ad all these ad blocks, they have to try making it more appealing than "might" or "could", right? Let's all load up on ads and see how many visitor bounce backs we can muster up! And repeat visitors, forget it. Then we can see CTR drop to zilch!

I was thinking more along the lines of the FTC and legal issues if AdSense is now claiming that doing X WILL result in Y as opposed to saying that doing X might or could result in Y.

But setting that aside for a moment (even though it's not a matter to be dismissed), if Google is certain that doing X will result in Y, they have plenty of room to offer incentives to get people to do X.
