I received an invitation to an Adsense presentation/optimization session in my city later this week. Has anyone been to one of these? Is it worth the trip?

I, personally, didn't get anything beneficial out of the presentation or the one-on-one sessions. There was nothing new outside of their FAQ's. It was local so it didn't cost me anything. The opportunity for me was to network with other local publishers.

Thanks, crispcritters. I think I'll probably go. I went to the iab meeting in D.C. about 6 weeks ago and the best part was, as you say, meeting other publishers in person.

Those that went that were not familiar with the FAQs or were new to AdSense probably got something from the presentation. They also talked about Google AdManager.

I went to one in Atlanta and met interesting folks in different verticals local to my area.
The google presentation and site review was good, however meeting the other site owners made the trip worth it. - Bring business cards...
