DO you have a forum? What have you found to be the most successful placements of the AdSense on your forums?

I'm getting an average of 2% CTR displaying then down the left side of my forum. I only have them set to display for guests, though, so I expect the CTR would be lower if everyone saw them.

I think I already posted this in another topic, but I think an Adsense ad at the bottom of the message thread is a pretty good idea. People always read the most recent message and then they're ready for something else. It's also a good spot because it's below the fold where other advertisers don't want to be (their loss).

Numberwise though, my ads seem to perform about the same regardless of where they are. I was doing well with left-column ads, but do just as well now after deleting those. Google serves better ads now to my other spots, and I think my users are more interested in clicking on a great ad than a well-placed one.
