Mimicking Google ads

I talked with someone recently about ditching adsense on some pages and placing different ad blocks in their stead. However, I'd like my own ad blocks to retain the same appearance as the adsense ad blocks.

Anyone know if this is a problem with adsense TOS (running my ad blocks on some pages and their ad blocks on other pages, with both looking very much the same)?

I can't see how it could be since we're essentially talking about squares, rectangles, and such. And Quigo and other middlemen use adblocks that look essentially the same as adsense.
