CTR and CPC have reached pathetic level all of a sudden! plz help

My earnings have dropped from $40 to $6 per day

Hi all,

For the past 8 months, my sites (totally 5) have been steadily increasing in traffic as well as adsense earnings. I had reached a monthly income of $1000 uptill last month (April). On adsense, I have been getting like 2500 impressions daily and CTR was around 5% to 6% daily. Income had reached something around $30 to $40 per day.

I was using two 300x250 ad blocks injected in the content in the articles along with two link ads, one just below the post title and another in the footer of the post. 90% of my earnings was coming from the injected 300x250 ad units within the content.

Now on April 25th, i received a warning mail from google asking me to change the ads positioning as it was against TOS to fool the visitors in clicking the ads. Since the link ad below the post title was the only one looking like that, i took it off. Anyways that " 468x15 link ad block" did not give me any CTR or clicks or earnings.

But from the very next day, CTR of my sites dropped and CPC too dropped. The same sites that were making between $30 to $40 per day are now making $6 to $9 per day. CTR has dropped from 5%-6% to 0.5%-1%. CPC has reduced so much that now i get clicks that are worth just few cents.

Does removing one " 468x15 link ad block" have so much affect on my earnings even though that ad link had nearly zero earnings previously? I don't think so.

Or is it that Google after giving warning must have changed some algorithm for my sites to go back to its initial stage of earnings? i am just confused whats wrong guys! Can you people help me understand this.

Note: Please keep in mind that 90% of my visitors are from search engine and that my traffic has not changed at all, rather it increased this month.

I also observe irrelevant ads appearing on my sites now. Should i ask Google to look into my sites?

@Mrflex2006: But if that was the case, then why is google praising this site surgerysquander. They too have ads without border with background blending with the page?

But anyways, i will try your input too. It is a safe way of playing adsense game.

This isn't a big deal. Having zero pixels separating an ad and content, the way you do it, is a big deal.

And your coding has problems. Some of your text, what little there is, is obscured by one of your ads.

Having ads with no separators from the article is against the Adsense TOS.

This whole thread appears to be a massive set up! Quite funny actually. Dentistology quite clearly has no knowledge about the the subject of the site . To claim that the articles are written by experts is a laugh. An expert in childcare would never be involved in a site like this and if they were they would be charging $$$$$ for each article.

Expertise is very, very expensive.

And why have the mods not yet removed the two links in this thread to the site? Very suspicious that! It's being going for more than a day.

@nomis5: Whats wrong with you suddenly? why do you find this thread to be fishy. Haven't you read my problem at the very start of this thread. guess you must have just started reading from in between.

Regarding experts writing, yes, we pay heavy price for such writers who are professionals in Asia. And that is why i am breaking my head because i am not getting any returns. We had started initially with thin content, but now professionals of the field write for us whether its childcare, dental, health or tech. We have three doctors who write content in their respective fields and who charge us pretty well, but not as fat as the doctors of western countries.

But what has that to do with this thread being fake? Whats the whole purpose behind you trying to show that i am just wasting time here. Just because your post count is 939 does not mean that you stand a chance to push down a junior of this forum.

Also, i don't need back links from such forums to benefit my sites. I well aware that backlinks from this forum are NO follow and do no good to my sites.

I am here to learn and to share knowledge and have my issues resolve and help others resolve the problem. Just because i ignored one or two google TOS does not mean that you start a suspicion game here. Is it because i am skeptical in agreeing to your point that is making you restless?

Look at others how professionally they are helping me in my problem, rather than bringing out conspiracy theories. If you think i am wasting your time, feel free to ignore this thread. But i have learnt a lot today from others via this thread.

Let the mods read the entire thread and then decide. Let them remove the links, it really doesn't bother me. Links are here only for others to refer as per the pattern of the talk.

This is precisely why i come less on this forum and other forums too. Because when you genuinely look for a solution and ofcourse are ignorant to many concepts, one smart head comes out and tries to show you down!
