Hey guys,

One of the sites I run, offers downloads for mobile phones. We're looking at expanding our news section to cover custom roms for Android mobiles but I remember reading something in the adsense guidelines about hacking roms etc, but I cannot find it anywhere.

If it's not allowed, how do websites such as xda-developers.com get away with it? Their entire website is based around hacking roms and homebrew software.

I'm hoping I misread the guidelines. Anybody know where the guideline is and your interpretation of it?

Publishers may not place AdSense code on pages with content that violates any of our content guidelines. Some examples include content that is adult, violent or advocating racial intolerance.
View full content policies.
Sites with Google ads may not include or link to:

#*$!ography, adult or mature content
Violent content
Content related to racial intolerance or advocacy against any individual, group or organisation
Excessive profanity
Hacking/cracking content
Gambling or casino-related content......

I wonder if that related specifically to websites that hack/crack i.e pirate software. Websites that offer cracks for Adobe Photoshop for example. Vs sites that discuss and take part in custom roms etc.
