If you sign up for Google Adsense, as I understand it you need to give your VAT number if VAT registered (or is this for Adwords?). What happens if you sign up and you are not VAT registered at that stage but you become VAT registered at a later date?

Is there a facility to add a VAT number to your Adsense account even if you signed up without one?

I wouldn't worry about what happens if you change your VAT status, as you can easily just fire off an email to the adsense team and let them make the change to your account. It's not always efficient to try to automate for every eventuality.

Was just concerned that I would have to close my account and then reopen it and lose all my stats.

Am I missing something here? I don't follow how VAT is applicable to AdSense?

We have a business account and I can't remember being asked about VAT?

It might be Adwords I can't remember. Certainly for one of them.

I'm in the same boat, terminating and restarting is a VERY bad option to change status of your account. All the more since it's killing your old stats, forcing a redo of the ID's on multiple sites, ... risk of not gettign accepted again ...

Fairly stupid procedure IMHO.
