I added a new adsense ad to a website today but it is displaying the old adsense format.

i.e.

instead of...

Can anyone explain this please?

I was checking about 130 pages the other day. I noticed that just one 728x90 advert appeared in its old format. I pressed F5 to see if it was just for that page. Once I had refreshed the page, the present format appeared.

I put it down to a glitch.

I've seen a couple of the old ads too. And as Lame_Wolf says, there gone after a refresh. Nothing to worry about.

I've F5'd the pages many times over the past few hours but the ads are still in the old format. I'll just give it more time I guess.

Thanks for your replies.

I wouldn't be concerned because they do lot's of testing with the ads.

I see all sorts of stuff on my site and I've assumed that the format I see must work better on that page for that specific ad unit, but who knows.

As long as it pays ;)

I notice this sometimes as well. G is always testing to combat ad blindness, when too many adsense publishers do not.
