So I recently changed some Google adlinks that were using the old code with the new one, something I once did some time ago when the code just changed but reverted back because the colors on the landing page (where all the ads are) were ridiculous, I figured this was still in beta mode...

But this time I don't have a choice, and I'd really like to convert most of my old code anyway. I just can't believe it still looks this awful. A square white Google logo at the top with a dark background (surely a transparent PNG would do a better job), weird green links and a blue line that doesn't fit with the theme.... ugh, this is like a bad Geocities flashback. I don't get it, isn't there a way to use the classical white theme instead on the landing page?

That is a PITA with my site. My background is black, and the Google logo looks awful. It's not as if Google doesn't have a logo with a black background.

I totally agree. Lets hope something like this rolls out in the near future. Maybe ASA could relay the suggestion back.

A transparent gif would be better.

Yea, I'm not crazy about it either; looks really out of place on my halloween sites with black background and halloween orange and green colors. Figured they were just trying to scare my users even more by the ugly landing page.

Ahhh...other people reporting what I saw a few months ago!

I found this thing only appeared with a 160 x 90, as soon as I replaced it with my regular 728 x 15 it went back to normal.
