Major discrepancies with AdSense

The AdSense reports in Analytics are not even close!

I've noticed, especially today, the AdSense reports showing in Analytics are way lower then the reports when logging into AdSense...and they don't catch-up days later. I'm seeing major discrepancies between the two over the last 3-4 days. Anyone else?

I hate to re-post, but I need to update the info. The discrepancy continues. Yesterday's stats for AdSense in Alalytics are only showing 1/5th of the actual earnigs...which haven't been good to begin with, yet the CTR is ALMOST the same. Is this just me?

i thought that was because they report from different timezones. the stats probably do match, but the 24 hours they're based on are out of synch.

I understant that, but they don't match with 5 days of data.

I thought it was well known that its always been like this. I've never seen an Analytics report that was even close in three years.

I don't really pay a lot of attention to the AdSense numbers in Analytics; would have to go back to find how far off they are. However, We usually see a 20-25% discrepancy in visits, pageviews and even ecommerce transaction, between Analytics and reality. My understanding is that's pretty normal.

Analytics doesn't include earnings from link units, mobile ads, or search boxes.

Analytics never reported anything like 25% of my AdSense over a prolonged period of time.

In the main, I regard it as mainly useless but, like all things, there are some useful aspects.

Must remember to look again one day.

Yes I always see a mismatch between analytics and adsense and they were not even close.

Bu today (Jan 3) I am noticing some strange reporting for channels. The aggregate data for the day looks normal but when i check the data for channels, they seem to be showing much higher amounts and all added together is actually much higher than the reported aggregate earnings. Note: I don't track ads by multiple channels.

There was a new site added to the adsense account and channels for it shows much higher amounts but they do not seem to be considered in the aggregate estimated earnings, though i do have authorized this site to display the adsense code.

Is the channel data broken?

On the Adsense Overview page in Analytics (Content > Adsense > Overview) there is a link (second line under the graph) marked "Why do these numbers differ from my AdSense account?"
It shows the differences between Adsense and Analytics reports for impressions and earnings.

My earnings reports are quite close, Analytics is less than 1% under-reporting.
Adsense page impressions are slightly more than 1% under-reported by Analytics.

My guess is the difference in impressions is mainly due to the fact that Analytics code is executed after Adsense code on my site. (I use the asynchronous Analytics code.) A few users probably leave the page before the Analytics code is finished.

The difference in earnings could be due to the small adjustments in earnings that I often see made a day or so later.
