I believe that I am getting several PSA on my pages. So my question is are these ads being counted in my reports and therefore lowering my CPM and CTR?

In the new adsense interface you can see the % of PSAs on your site.

The new Adsense report page has a column called Coverage which shows the percentage of units that has paying ads, as explained by an Adsense employee in the Google forum:
[google.com...]
You can find Coverage in the Performance report page under "Ad units".

As I seem to recall, PSA impressions used to be included as part of the ad impression counts in the reports. However, that may have changed with the new interface.

You can serve your own alternate ads by setting up the URL in the Adsense interface. You can then get a count of the number of alt ads served, either by using a php script to count the ad impressions or by checking your server logs.

Well I check my stats under coverage... low and behold now I know why my earnings have dropped to an all time low in the past couple of months. Not one of my four sites is showing 100% coverage?!?

The best coverage I got was 97% for a site which is basically a gallery site.

The worse coverage was 53% which is on a site that has more text and information than images... go figure?

Does that include AdLink units or is it only regular ads?
The way Coverage is calculated for AdLinks makes it seem much lower than regular ads, usually in the under 10% range. Combined with regular ads, the Coverage is usually around 50 to 60%. See the explanation in the support forum that I linked to above.

By the way, I omitted a step in finding the Coverage stat. You must click on the "Columns" tab at the top right, then select "Ad requests".
Coverage used to be displayed in all reports, now it is more difficult to find.

The best way to track PSA impressions is using the alternate ad URL in the Adsense set up as I mentioned above. That way you can see which pages are receiving them.

Thanks Leonard0 I did go to the forum and read the explanations offered... and have since deleted AdLinks from that site which by the way were earning me pittance anyway... and my CTR and CPM has doubled today.

If the trend continues I will leave off AdLinks for that site...

Thanks again for the heads up
