Newbie need advices

I'm new to adsense but I have heard about this, content is king! So I took over a site from my friend three months ago. This site was build up with Joomla and there are only five pages in it, no revenue! (that's why he gave the site to me). So I began to insert my articles into this site these days. So far I have more than 30 unique articles. But with no luck, no revenue too. Can you guys tell me what I should do next? Or don't bother with anything else, just keep working on more articles then one day I will be success?

You are going to need a lot of content. Original content. Then backlinks. Traffic will come after that. Then you can monetize the site.

Well, both are important. Some websites with just five pages can get thousands of visitors through links, organic search and advertising, but generally speaking the more and better your content is the more traffic you will get. Well written content that helps readers results in adsense revenue.
