My Page Impressions are very low, about half what I would normally expect at this time of day. Anyone else?

I'm seeing a new trend. It started in December. Stats seem stuck until late in the day. Between 6 pm to 9 pm PST (Google Time) I see a jump in earnings. Not enough to make it a "good" day, but many times, enough to keep it from being completely horrible.

Last month it was like the stats were stuck until maybe noon or 1 PM (Google Time). I don't know why it's changing now. Very curious. Perhaps it has something to do with the holidays? I didn't notice last year, but I wasn't making a study of it last year.

The switch was flipped to dross quite awhile back I'm sorry to write, until someone gets their a$$ kicked big time at Madsense some of us may as well just not bother checking stats.

Yesterday I had image galleries averaging $1.00 a click meanwhile unique informational pages were averaging $0.10...Time to add more images methinks!

This is smashing all lowtime earnings' records for me, it's making Thanksgiving Day look positively busy!

I suppose the only thing to do now is wait until the New Year and see if AdSense picks up, if not then it will be removed since I can easily use that space much more profitably for myself.

Husky, You've spent almost 3000 posts now on the ups and downs with Adsense. I heard a football (soccer) coach saying today "You can't sail on yesterdays wind". So true. We've heard you stating so much times you'd quit Adsense, but never did. I'm feeling you're addicted somehow or at least in January the situation will be such that it is worth keeping it after all.

Now don't wait for New Year, get the guts and do something with the space that is much more profitable.

Complaining each day about "supposed" stuck stats isn't going to make the numbers going up.

I like complaining. 3 years ago Adsense began shuffling stuff, since then I have high months, low months, problems with stats. Every quarter is a new chapter. And it bugs me. Bugs me cause everything goes south most of the time.

I come here for 2 reasons. To see there are people who are having as crappy a day as me and to find one of them is my pal Husky.

Yesterday was BEYOND horrible. I've not had a bad day like that for a long time. REALLY bad. Today is now back up to something "kinda okay." I wish it were much better, but it's not quite as depressing as yesterday. So today things are sort of back to "normal" or what passes for normal in December, apparently.

I can assure you that 3,000 posts have not been made about the ups and downs of AdSense:-)

I'm fairly sure that I have not posted that once during 2010 since every month of 2010 has surpassed 2009 until this month. Certainly during 2008/9 when things were getting sticky for many I did do many times since, in fact, I stopped updating sites altogether in October 2009 because, like many other, I was very frustrated with AdSense seeing my traffic numbers going up meanwhile earnings dropped considerably yet at the same time Google was reporting more and more profits.

I'm feeling you're addicted somehow or at least in January the situation will be such that it is worth keeping it after all.

I provide AdSense as a service to our customers worldwide to use our global sites to promote their products locally. It's far, far easier than doing it ourselves however if earnings do continue to flatline in January I shall have no alternative but to either:

a) Offer our own advertising solution
b) Forget advertsing altogether and simply promote our own products
c+) We have several other ideas under discussion

I'm not even trying to do that, there's a fair spread of people here across many industries, it's a great barometer for testing the feel as to what is happening to others around the world.

As has been posted many times over the years "Misery loves company" and when there are several people in that boat at the same time it's reassuring that one's efforts are not all in vain.

I've almost written-off December now, it's been diabolical so far and looks as though it's getting worse, therefore I shall try and predict now that Monday 10th January 2011 should be the day that I return to "normal" earnings. If not then action will be taken, which one we haven't yet decided.

No hard feelings Husky. I don't want/need you to quit Adsense and I'm not annoyed by these threads either. Although some might think otherwise.

I remember once when you stated to quit Adsense (that was 2007) you said you'd start enjoying more of your:

ex-wife, husky, beer, 10 pin bowling and last but not least you could stop working for 80hrs/week.

I hope that's still true, also with Adsense.

If current stats continue this will be my best December ever (and December always is my best month). So maybe Monday 10th January 2011 when you post your "normal" stats, I can chime in and start whining about my lousy earnings ;).

Heavens, if wishes were to come true...unfortunately there's been a bit of a money crisis since then and like many others I've not been immune to it:-(

I've just been doing some in-depth comparisons with previous years trends etc and this year is doing very similar however the most significant factor is that this year there has been no recovery bounce for a couple of weeks since Thanksgiving Day.

Just why I have no idea however there are plenty of posts in the Google Search forum from people/companies experiencing similar traits and some with quite disastrous sales on Cyber Monday.

As an aside I've just read that because of the weather in Scotland many of the major stores are not accepting new online orders for delivery before Xmas!

It's been horrible during Thanksgiving week and for some time afterward, but one site has made up for it recently so I'm happy with Adsense, once again. There is, however, an unusual dip in the long term earnings chart that is difficult to explain for that time.

I've accepted that December is destined to be low compared to November, October, September . . . However, December 2010 is markedly better than December 2009. And December has never been a good month for me.

Today was better, was "good" for December (though would have been on the very low side of "normal" for November, October, etc). Last January picked up, so I wait for that to happen this upcoming January too.
