How to find the keywords for your site?

I was just playing around with the opera browser [opera.com] and there is an option to display google ads [opera.com] instead of the default graphic ads.

At the bottom of the google ads bar are some words which are labelled "Related Searches". These look suspiciously like the keywords that google uses to serve ads up to the web site that you are currently viewing... Could this be true? Has this topic already been discussed elsewhere?

While some could definitely qualify as keywords for the site, I think they are exactly what they say they are, related search terms to the site, and not the actual keywords used.

For instance you could be at a site about office equipment, and see a related search for "paper shredders"... even though the site never once mentioned paper shredders. (Only an example, but along the lines of what I saw).

Still a great find! As in the above example.. it would be another useful tool at determining future topics to include in your site.
