Adsense/Adwords are far from maximizing their potential

As publishers, we have empty ads all the time. As adwords advertisers, we have relevant keywords disabled all the time. Presumably because our bids are not high enough. Stop disabling keywords that are perfectly relevant and use those keywords to display ads on pages where supposedly there is no available ad revenue and all of us, including Google, will make more money. I just don't buy the story that google has no relevant content for a particular page.

So, do you mean that you would rather have semi-relevant ads in the blank spots? I think it's a neat idea.

Although personally I would rather have semi-relevant ads in the blank spots, my point is that either they don't have enough paid ads to fill in the blanks on adsense, which would cause blank ads to happen as it does OR they have not enough ad space to show on publishers' sites which would cause you to get deleted keywords on relevant ads where the only problem is that you didn't bid enough.

The fact that BOTH of these events are happening frequently, shows that they are not maximizing the revenue potential.
