I am a Student, currently in my 20's, looking to work full-time on web thanks to the Adsense revenue. I don't want to get into corporate job because I'll be making peanuts compared to what I make from adsense right now.

I still have 2 more years to finish my education and hopefully, by that time, earnings will shoot up. And from what I've heard, Corporate job sucks. What do you think?

And, just out of curiosity, I'd love to hear your tale of quitting day job because you were making hefty money from adsense.

The rainy day advice is good advice. And should be followed by any business owner in any field. Keep at least 6 months worth of living expenses in savings. If not more. It will help smooth out the bumps in the road.

I had a full-time income and it just got fuller with Adsense. Basically, I'm a social outcast. I have very little in common with the people around me. I work from home in my huge home office, with all the great little toys any techie home office would have, with a great view. I love it. I try to make nice in the real world, but they aren't interested in what I do, maybe don't understand and don't want to understand.

It's caused me to with withdrawl to the online community, where like minds like to think. Since I spend 80% of my day doing research online, that makes me very uncompatible with nearly everyone in the real world community. I can live with that, very comfortably.

sid786 - you've gotten a wide array of good advice already in this thread but I just want to add one more word of advice from my own experience.

Don't get caught up in glorifying "the internet lifestyle", especially if you are just getting started. By all means pursue your dreams with full intensity, even if your plan is to be rich via adsense, but the internet isn't "new ground" anymore and there are PLENTY of extremely brilliant problem solvers and analytical thinkers that can knock you off course should you find yourself in the same niche. It's a dog fight and those who don't pay others to build their projects still pay by putting in countless sleepless nights pouring over code.

People are taught from childhood to ask questions and you've done that. Leaders are self taught to question those answers and apply their beliefs. If you REALLY want to live online, and off of online, you've got years of trial and error and catching up to do and even then you can't ever stop learning, It's not for everyone.

A question you should ask is "how many websites and blogs are launched every single day?" followed by a "how will mine be better than all of those?". good luck.
