Human Development Report - Why UNDP Spend Money on Adsense!

They are naturally #1 SR for all their keywords

Hello

Since more than 2 years, im using Human Development Report in my job, and for the 2 past years, i always see Human Development Report advertisement in Google!

They are #1 for the keywords they may be interested in, so i was wondering, why they are spending money on ads!

Do Google provide free advertisement from institutions such as UNDP?

if not :

They should be saving money for more important things, such as research and aid!

I tried to contact the webmaster of the website explaining this since months and no reply

And how do you expect them to get aid without advertising ?

I do not see adverts for them, but may be I am using the wrong keywords or I am in a country where they do not advertise.

Google gives grants to non profits

It is typically $10,000 a month, though there are criteria that can allow a non profit to get as much as $30,000 in Adwords advertising.

A non profit client got $10,000 but was denied the $30,000 when they applied due to political partisanship. They eventually lost even the $10,000 grant.

I'm sure the UN is a recipient of Google Grants

Yes looks like they are using the Grants program.

I loved it, went through policies and it seems to be generous!

I believe many organizations don't know about this program!
