Can we tell which template converts better somehow? I'm seeing new templates with images on many parked pages and would like to know more about them. Can we pick one? Can we see stats for which one converts best? etc.

Sorry, I cannot help here. I am totally against having adsense on parked domains. It kind of breaks their own TOS IMO.

I respect that point of view, and I actually share it to a certain extent, but I do occasionally buy more domains at one time than I can flesh out over the next few weeks when the chance presents itself.
I hate seeing so many great domain names permanently unavailable because they remain parked for years too.
I do however think it's ok to earn a little bit from domains that are waiting to be developed after you purchase them, and adsense is an easy choice instead of other "paid" alternatives where the registrar takes a cut or offers a group.
I can't find anything that says we have any control over the parked templates so I'm guessing we have no input and no access to conversion data on them? Google is doing the experimenting?
