Related to this post? [webmasterworld.com...]

Perhaps. I'm using Firefox and contrary to that thread, I'm seeing public service ads here. I was checking one of my websites and to my surprise all I see are public service ads, some slots are blank. Ok, that's probably my site... but then no...

11:20AM here in Central America and all I see are public ads, "what happened with the dinosaurs?" blah blah. I'm checking other sites and its not happening only on mine.

I am not seeing it myself, but one of the suggestions I made a long while back, was to receive a report with a list of URL's where PSA adverts have appeared on, and from what country.

It would be an extremely useful tool, esp. for large sites.

It never happened, of course.

I am noticing the same. I know this because I have tracked some of the visitors to the landing pages of the alternative URL's I have specified.

Update: the problem stopped, all ok in the afternoon
Problem: How often does this happen? to our visitors? why? and how (much) does affect our earnings? is it related to the instant suggestions G is launching?

In the last few weeks I have been seeing lots of PSA's on many different sites I visit, mostly IT related sites. I'm interpreting it as ad inventory must be low? With all that Google has been up to in the last few months I suspect many people are loosing their confidence in them. And I'm not talking about low quality sites either, some of them are very popular and well traveled.

I'm seeing a lot of that too on many sites today. I bet it has to do with "Instant".
