How many impressions to test with

I'd like to start some multi-variant palette testing to determine the best AdSense color scheme for my site. I've selected a number of possibilities. I've set the original color scheme for 50% of the impressions. How many impressions over what time frame do you think I should run before I start eliminating poor performing color schemes. Should I reduce or increase the percentage of serving the original color palette?

How do you know you are losing money. You cannot compare one Monday from another, and then put it down to colour change.

One or two days seems way to short a period of time to me. Say, min 100k impressions of each option over a min of 7 days? I'm sure that more would be better.

Give it I'm earning US$10 per day, I run a test with diff palettes and earn US$5, to me would be enough to test 2 or 3 days. Another test with US$2 per day will also be enough for me for 2 or 3 days, that's what I mean.

I see where you are coming from, but the time period is too short to state it was the colour change that produced the drop.
