Welcome!

Did they give you a reason for deactivating your account?

You cannot reactivate your account. Only Google can do that. If they said they cannot do it, then you have your answer.

People here have been receiving emails from Google saying that they will stop delivering adverts to their sites due to some *minor* violation. Yet, I have seen a site where they had 21 adsense blocks on a page, and asking people to click on the adverts!

They were banned, but were allowed back in again... and the cached pages were still showing the offence.

You cannot get any worse than fraud, and that should be an instant ban, never to be seen again. But I was wrong.

There is another site that shows thumbnail images of YOUR work, encourages you to hotlink to YOUR images, and is covered in adsense. Googlegroups is littered with remarks about this site. Even reported to Adsense for violations.

Adverts disappeared for 2 days, if that.

They are back again. Reported again, but still they have adsense.

Go figure.
